Ecstatic Dance Yorkshire is a free-form and conscious dance movement, held in a safe and sacred space. This journey is led by a DJ using different styles of music. It’s a place where you can be your unique self, it's a form of expression, a way to connect with yourself and your emotions. Dance how you want and how you feel.

Guidelines
We dance with bare feet or socks,
(unless a medical condition or outdoors)
To connect to the ground, pachamama, mother earth or however you want to name it, underneath your feet. Dancing on bare feet also strengthens your feet and ankles, increases your circulation, flexibility and dexterity.
We keep the dance floor verbal conversation free,
it allows us to move out of our heads and into our bodies. We can make sounds to express ourself and our emotions. By listening to our bodies, we also connect to others and we bring together dance, music and community.

We dance as we are,no drugs/alcohol, no phones, no camera/video.
Be present, be in the moment and feel free to dance as you please with respect for ourselves, the space, and one another.
